Val Tyler - Appliqué & Free Motion Quilting

Event Details

14 Jan 2027, 19:15 – 21:30 The Main Hall, The Millennium Centre, 2-10 Ontario Way, Liphook GU30 7LD Val lives in Liphook and is a Crafter and Writer. She describes herself as an “out-of-control crafter who has written magazine articles and a book (published by GMC) on various crafts”. In recent years, she has had several orders for patchwork quilts. These unexpectedly transformed into picture quilts that soon morphed into fabric pictures. When she needed some delicate background details, free motion quilting seemed to be the answer. Having learnt the basics, she developed her own style and was rather excited by the way her pictures were evolving. Val is looking forward to showing you what they have become in January 2027, and demonstrating what it is possible to make in the medium of free motion quilting.
