Justine Jenner - Pottery Demonstration

Event Details

11 November 2027, 19:15 – 21:30 The Main Hall, The Millennium Centre, 2-10 Ontario Way, Liphook GU30 7LD About A love of colour – combining, contrasting, harmonising - and the desire to make ‘useful’ things have always been the drivers in Justine’s life as a maker and potter. These themes are reflected in her desire to skilfully make functional ceramic items for everyday use with a focus on achieving harmony between form and colour. Having trained at Dartington Pottery in Devon during the mid-90s, followed by working for other potters during early married life and a brief stint of making her own work whilst living in Rome, Justine took a 14-year break to raise 3 children. She established her current practice and business in 2013. Justine will share her current work and a brief history of how a mug, a gift at the age of 16, set the direction for her life as a potter and all that the creative life entails. She will also demo on the pottery wheel how she throws some of her recognisable forms and how they are shaped and added to once thrown. This is an ideal time to ask questions and maybe, if time, come forward and have a go on the wheel! www.justinejennerpottery.co.uk Pricing & Availability Free of charge for our members.
